Single-skin and double-skin insulated systems provide high-performance solutions for applications requiring improved thermal insulation, energy efficiency, and indoor comfort. Their cost-effective design makes them suitable for a wide range of industrial, commercial, and specialized buildings.
Single-skin insulation is installed beneath the external metal sheeting as under-deck insulation. The insulation is rolled over the purlins or girts, and the outer sheets are fixed to the secondary framing through the insulation.
From inside the building, only the vapour barrier is visible. This system provides an economical solution for improving thermal performance while maintaining a simple construction arrangement.
Double-skin insulation consists of an internal liner panel fixed directly to the secondary framing. Sub-girts are installed through spacer blocks and the liner panels and are connected to the purlins or girts. Glasswool roll insulation or Rockwool slabs are placed over the sub-girts, after which the external roof or wall panels are fixed through the insulation to the sub-girts.
For wall cladding, the internal liner is fixed to the inside face of the girts, while the external sheet is installed on the outside with insulation positioned between the two layers. This arrangement provides enhanced thermal insulation, improved internal appearance, and better overall building performance.
